Miracles happen to me all the time.

Monday, March 17, 2014

Here is another one:

Yesterday I started cleaning our bedroom Things pile up and stay there--sometimes for 2 years. Honest!

I got my rolling stool and rolled around the room putting things away--hundreds of things, well, maybe one hundred, not hundreds. emoticon

About 75% of the way through the clutter I found 2 receipts that I need for my taxes. I am about to mail them out! On top of these 2 receipts was a mountain of assorted stuff.

Miracle? You bet. emoticon (a funny looking angel!)This stuff was put here when we had the floors done. Every room was disrupted . Little by little I have been putting it back in the right places.

I have not finished that room. Impossible for me at this stage in my life. But it is much better . Hopefully I can finish it soon. A few weeks ago , I improved the living room. Now I have sone some major work in the bedroom. emoticon

I have a cleaning person every 2 weeks who has been helping me and encouraging me. And the health aide twice a week in the afternoon is an angel and does my husband's stuff and also my laundry and dishes and sweeps the floors. Aides before told me things like they wouled do his dishes only and there is no way they'd do my laundry or sweep!

I am definitely seeing improvement around here. Not as fast as I'd like but I do see progress,

I have also gotten a former aide of my husband to do handyman things around here. We did some bartering so it is not as expensive as a 'real' handyman. This guy works with his father. So quite a bit gets done. They just repaired 6 of my broken chairs! Six!!! That is a huge improvement here!

Have a great day! And watch out for those miracles!

You've discovered that God cares about all the stuff in our lives, even the little things. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that God cares very much about the little things. Sometimes when I'm looking and looking for something, I'll pray something like, "God, I know you're looking right at (whatever it is). Would you please show it to me?" And sooner or later He does - sometimes right away, and sometimes not.

I'm happy for you for the progress you're making. emoticon

GREAT JOB! Yes I agree that miracles happen -- and they happen more frequently when we are taking positive steps (like controlling clutter or reaching out for help from others, or helping others ourselves)

emoticon Now the real trick will be to keep it organized once you get there. I am such a Virgo that I can't stand things just laying around so I almost make myself crazy trying to do more than a person should but it does keep life neat and tidy.
I am glad you are finally getting some much needed help. I know that has to life a load off your shoulders and make you feel really good.
Hang in there, progress is being made and that is what really counts.

We all have miracles that happen to us, we just have to be open enough to see them. Most times we are too busy with our lives to notice them. Glad things are slowly working out for you. I know the feeling about things getting behind. I have an acre and a third which used to be beautifically landscaped but due to my immobility the last two years most things are so overgrown. I am hoping since my sleeve surgery, that this summer I can turn some of this around! At least that is my plan and I'm sticking to it! Ha! Have a great day!

emoticon on all you are accomplishing! Wish I was as far ahead as you are in my bedroom. Why is it that so much gets dumped there? I guess cause we can close the door when company comes. emoticon
