March 16th

Today was weigh in day. While I was down a half lb. it was the third disappointing week in a row. Not going to get discouraged, as my spark buddy always reminds me a loss is a loss. So in analysis of the past three weeks, it appears I'm one of those who may not be eating enough. I've cut cals and increased activity, but with little benefit. So I'm going back to 1800 cals. And keeping my exercise at 100 mins and see what happens. I also think my carb intake has been too low. While it helps with my glucose control I think it's making me have some dizziness and weakness. In general think I might have gone too far.

Today was an off day for exercise. Had a bad night sleeping with apnea attack. Still haven't figured that out. So I've begun a sleep journal to try and figure out why this happens periodically.

So tomorrow I'm off with my modified plan.

    Hi Bob, glad to see you are still losing weight and you are definitely building muscle with all that exercise. Glad you have the insight to see when you are burning calories with exercise, you can get away with more carbs, especially being male. Just don't slack on checking sugars. Mine have been down to normal past week with increasing exercise to an hour (go figure, eh ?). Keep plugging away. TC

    I did once make the mistake of thinking that I really should NOT increase calories...but it did definitely work. I also once broke a plateau by increasing my exercise by 10 minutes per day. After about a year on my journey, I was tired of watching everything I ate so very strictly, so I found I would rather increase exercise to offset a bit. I think I am at 1400-1750 calories per day, but I have it set for 400 minutes of exercise per week as well.

So you ever check your reports? The CICO one is quite enlightening. I have lost 90+ pounds, but about 20 found their way back. By watching CICO, I have removed 10 of it, and I do think it is how I will actually maintain. Let me know if you don't know how to find it...

    That is a man with a plan I hope It helps you with your loss next week. I know first hand how frustrating it is to have little losses week after week. Tomorrow is my day and am very worried. Stay strong you still at a constant loss every week which is good.
