Freezer update

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Warning - this is a nerd post that most people will find extremely boring!

Ok, I am excited and obsessed with my new chest freezer.

I made and froze 2 meals that are what I am calling inventory. Sitting in the freezer ready for menu rotation when Spring hits hard with all of the kids activities. I also started a list of what I made and what goes with it. I was giddy this afternoon.

We went to Lowe's and found 2 legal milk crate like stack able cubes to help organize the food in the freezer. To top it off, I went to the library and checked out books on make ahead freezer meals for ideas.

In case you are wondering I have Cinnamon Chicken in a tomato sauce and Thai Peanut Chicken Drumsticks in the freezer.

Now I am waiting to see if we get 1 inch or 8 inches of snow. I am rooting for - NO inches of snow!

I bought a second freezer a year ago and It's jammed pack with food, it's not organized at all. I'll tell my husband about the crates you put in there. That's very good advice.
Thank you,
Rooting for you!
