The City Dark (documentary about light pollution)

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Found this interesting documentary about the effects of light pollution on people and different animals. Very enlightening. (pun intended) They are not advocating going back to the Dark Ages, but using lighting that doesn't waste 85 percent energy and goes upward rather than downward illumination.

Personally, I get ill under fluorescent lights. Sometimes just headaches, other times extreme dizziness depending upon the amount of lighting.

If you have Netflix, you can find this doc there. Wishing all a good upcoming week.

LOL guess I don't have to worry, I have no hydro.
Just a generator that we use to watch TV at night for about 3 hours.

I live in the country so at night it's dark. We have motion detector lights for when we go outside rather that the dusk to dawn ones.

I keep netting over the lights in my classroom to defuse the light. Works wonders for my students.
