97 Days Until Summer

Blog about it emoticon

For those of you that are peaking in on this blog, please know that I pretty much crashed and burned with my 100 days until summer challenge.

No guilt or recrimination about it - as I’ve said before, I’m gonna do this until I don’t do it and then to it again.

Here is my starting “again.”

Yesterday was non-stop action, what with my oldest daughter home from college, my youngest daughter needing a shopping trip to prepare for an upcoming trip to Disney with her school Marching Band and then having music lessons (she play cello, baritone and piano so music lessons last a while), and my middle daughter having her 16th birthday party/school dance/sleep over last night. You can imagine the attendant shopping/cooking/cleaning etc.

It was a marvelous day. I did manage to put out a blog yesterday, thus continuing that streak.

I logged 11,168 steps, but never had 10 continuous minutes of fitness activity as logged by my Spark Tracker. I drank water non-stop, but had no time to make it any “fun flavor” or even to really measure it. I was out and about way too much. I never ate to the point of feeling overfull, but neither did I track. I did manage to meditate before bed. Bed time was at 1am because (silly me) I started making banana bread at 11pm so my oldest daughter could to take it back to college.

The pre-dance Birthday party, which started at 6pm was a hit with the 15 or so girls/boys that attended. I helped drop everyone at the school dance at 8pm and came back to my college age daughter and her friends, all on spring break. Had a great time interacting with the college crowd for two hours before I picked up the birthday girl and the 9 or so high school friends that came to sleep over.

As I write this, it is in the midst of the wreckage that is my kitchen after serving everyone breakfast.

Despite the ‘crash and burn’ of the fitness goals and all the extra work, the day was gratifying, pleasurable, joyful, fun, happy and satisfying on too many levels to even express.

Needless to say, I’m fulfilling my commitment to myself to blog about this for 100 days and them I’m gonna head out to visit my DH who works out of town and could not come home this weekend because he is on call.

I'll let you know what fun we get into and I might even publish some pictures of said fun. They will all be family friendly of course....

Remember, only

Days Until Summer.

Let me know what fun things you are getting into!

Have a great day and keep ...

Semantics! You actually met ALL of your goals, and you know it :D

I think the days where we make good instinctive decisions about food are excellent practice. Hell, even when I'm deliberately allowing myself "binge" days (tracked or not) I think I'm making better choices than I did before SP.

Oh yes, busy mom days. Is it Tuesday or Wednesday? Do I turn left or right? Eleven after school activities a week.
I washed the dogs today. You might think of it as a chore but it is so much fun. We play in the back yard when they are clean (sorry, it's 91F today) We chase balls with wild antics and tricks. They love chase the towel the best. It sorta reminds me of playing in the sprinklers as a kid.

Oh thank you for the stroll down memory lane, I had two daughters and I remember those crazy days running all around with them & their friends, sleep overs (well who got any sleep)? Then cooking everyone breakfast was always fun everyone wanting something different. But in the end it all worked out the house got cleaned up again & life went on like normal, before losing both daughters they would always say they remembered all the fun they had with their friends, our house was always the "In" house mothers & fathers knew they could trust if their children were at my home.

You'll get your exercise in and all the other stuff, take time to enjoy your daughters while you have them before they are gone.

Take care & be well thanks again for the trip. emoticon

Many Blessings Always Debby emoticon emoticon emoticon

I loved your blog! I'm in the same boat, I may crash and burn but as long as you keep getting back up and dusting yourself off is all that matter. Keep on going! You got this
