A new car - should it be fun getting it?

Saturday, March 15, 2014

yes, apparently it is not common to allow people to borrow cars overnite...Other salesman made that very clear.

We got into a different sales lot by mistake when we went to meet the guy who was in contact with us. and after meeting with him, we aren't on the same wavelength at all. Hyundai guy said their sale starts on Monday... but still $300 a month +$100 for insur. + gas.... is not leaving me in a comfortable space. So, that I had this idea that our Old Age will kick in in 3-4 yr, so if we got a cheaper car till then, it would be a whole lot that's the decision on the table right now..

Very stressful doing this...

In the US, the very young and the very old drivers have high insurance rates. The insurance companies figure that the young don't pay attention because they're busy socializing and the very old just forget how to pay attention. Sometimes, a good bet is to find some older people through a church or word of mouth that have to give up driving. Usually, the cars are in a garage and have low mileage. But...the trick is to find the people.

We are in the same position. I want to retire in 10 years but don't want to have a car payment. Current car needs to be replaced soon but if we do then we'll need to buy another car at retirement??? Decisions, decisions! ARGH!

On a happy note--let's try to breathe and make it a great day!
