Walking Outside at a Park or...

Saturday, March 15, 2014

Today I took my husband to a local park to go for a walk. There is a living history museum there. It was pretty amazing, one of those little jewels that we all have in our areas. You probably know of a nearby site that you never go to, but that you would go to visit if it was in a more exotic location. I was just in Nassau, The Bahamas, and visited an old fort that was less interesting than this local gem in Missouri.

Take a walk at an outdoor museum or botanical garden or whatever is near you. My advice is to do it soon, before hot weather and tourists make it uncomfortable. We also walked one of the hiking trails, but if that is too much for you, the walk from the parking lot and a ramble among exhibits is a good fresh start to getting some exercise.
