Hubby is not good for my health. I need to be strong!

Friday, March 14, 2014

Jeff has been off work since Wednesday and we have been out running errands it is obvious to me he eats like a baby, every 3-4 hours. Today he wanted to go to breakfast, I had eaten my breakfast only 45 min. b/4 at 8:30AM, and he had also eaten just 20 min. b/4 around 8am, so I wasn't going to eat anything. I just wanted to get back to the house so I could get a walk in b4 it got too warm. He stopped at Jack in the Box near out house, still asking me if I wanted anything. He did the same thing yesterday morning after we dropped Phred off at the groomer, we headed over to Home Depot and then Lowes. He had to have McDonalds, no thanks I said, he said are you sure. I haven't eaten at McDs since 2009 and that was because we were on vacation and it was the only place to eat in the middle of Kansas and I still tried to eat the healthiest thing on the menu. I said I will have some fruit when I get home if I want something.
So later today we had to go and pick up our curtains that Phred destroyed on the bottoms (I dropped them off a couple of days ago). He decided he must go to InNOut for something to eat, do I want anything. I say no I had lunch at 12:30pm I can wait for dinner. He gets his burger and fries around 3:15pm with a drink, eats in the car on the way home and is done b/4 we get back home. We had 2 egg omelets, with sausage and a biscuit for dinner. This was just b/4 6pm and you know what? He will have ice cream later. Every night since he has been home he has had ice cream, do I want any, no I say, are you sure he says. I have to be so strong around him because he is not helpful at all with me being able to eat healthy all the time. I lost weight when he was gone to Tulare because my son Frank & I ate so much better during that period of time. I will stay strong!

My husband and room mate do the same thing and when we go grocery shopping they need to spend a fortune on junk food. It is soo infuriating. emoticon You can do this i know i have to work on staying stronger and getting some healthful food in this house

My dad is like that! That is one reason my mom could never lose weight! He did it to me too. Here, just try it, do you want something, one bite won't hurt you.... Sadly, his stroke has stopped him from doing this now! Stay strong!!

Jack in the Box, McDonald's...?!? Eek! :-)

I would plan to take a stash of healthy foods along for yourself and let him do what he will to his

I eat all the time too (between noon & 8-9 pm), but it's all good stuff, non-starchy veggies with a few fruits.

Maybe he is afraid that he will lose you when you get skinny again. It does happen and that maybe why he is going to all those food places and asking you if you want it too. You may have to tell him that even after you lose this weight that you will be with him still. There are apparently allot of women that lose the weight and then leave their husbands for greener pastures. It never is greener on that other side because I hear that they don't stay with that green pasture either.

Wow! What a lot of temptations all in one day! Sounds as if Jeff has a hollow leg! He works hard though, so maybe he works it all off? You are doing so well to keep saying "No"! It would be hard to not give in once in a while! emoticon emoticon emoticon

My hubster does the same kind of stuff. He's learning, though. It sounds like you've done awesome so far, keep it up!
You don't happen to watch Wild West Alaska, do you?

Good luck!

Sounds like you have your own personal saboteur. Perhaps it's time for you to let Jeff know that's what he has become.

Jeff sounds like he can work it off with all the hours he puts in!! He shouldn't tempt you like that though. It's so hard to say no but at times we just have to and I am glad you were strong enough to hang in there. I'm not sure I would have been:) Sure hope he doesn't have to worry about weight in the future!! Take care and it's good to have heard from you!!
