Whoo. So yesterday I tried Pilates for Indie Rockers. I really liked it, but it was rough! I didn't realize how weak my core was, but I am pretty proud of my arms right now. Today I'm a little sore, but in a good way.
The dvd was great, and I'm going to get the yoga one from my library to try it out as well. The only thing I didn't like was the instructer didn't always say out loud what she was doing, which made it a little difficult when the posisions required me to not stare at the tv, but it was only occasional that that happened.
I liked the music and the fact that I could turn it off and listen to my own if I chose. Most workout dvds turn me off because I hate the weird 'calming' music they play, and the way sometimes they take place on beaches and what not. I wish there were more dvds like this.
On a related note, I requested Zumba dvds from the library over a month ago and they stilll haven't arrived. They aren't checked out or anything. I don't know what is going on, but I feel weird complaining since they are free. Still, it's annoying.
On personal note, it's been a rough week, and I am so glad to have had such support here. I'm also glad to be going out of town for the weekend, it's much-needed.
