running in the spring (pictures from Paris where it's spring)

Thursday, March 13, 2014

no time to write a lot but putting up these pictures to inspire both you and me.
the first two are from the rose garden (but no roses yet) at the Vincennes woods, where i went to pick up the bibs for the half marathon 10 days ago.

and the next 3 are all from yesterday 4-mile run that is my standard run … it will remain beautiful with different things in bloom for … quite a while yet. but in March, they are especially welcome.

daffodils and flowering trees along the left bank of the Seine

and now 2 views of the magnolia (i think) trees in front of City Hall:

great pics! the magnolia is gorgeous. i might try the river path again, though it may well still be very muddy. also i've discovered another lovely run in the woods.
