I just read a great article on accountability.
Spurred into reading articles and various posts by others, I stumbled across this particular article and just love it!
I decided at the beginning of my journey that I was going to be brutally honest with myself. I own my decisions whether they are good or bad. This article takes that a step further and suggests writing down favorite excuses used to put off exercising or eating healthy.
The contract part is so great...I never thought about putting things in writing for myself to this extent. Really makes a difference when you dig down deep and get to the heart of what's going on in your head. Figure out the emotions, the road blocks, the self sabotaging behavior.
This really hits home with me as I figure at this point in the game, I know how I should be eating, how much and how hard to exercise. What I haven't figured out is the reasons behind my self sabotage. I decided today to start journaling again to work though these things and then found this article!
So glad I found it. I'm writing up my contract tonight!
