I am really proud of myself, I have been tracking for 10 days straight. It hasn't been a perfect 10 days, but I have tracked the imperfections.
A few months ago, I read Potatoes Not Prozac and it recommends having a very high protein breakfast and eating 3 meals a day with no snacks. I have been doing both, for the most part. The breakfast I settled on is 2 eggs, a bowl of berries with a few spoonfuls of greek yogurt on top. It has 22 grams of protein. I have also cut back on my creamer in my coffee and am measuring it daily (instead of eyeballing it). Whether it is the reduction in sugar or the increase in protein, I am staying full longer. I used to be ready for lunch at 11 am, not I am easily waiting to 12.
I haven't completely cut out snacks, but I have cut down on them. I have found it to be an easy transition so far. My worst snacking time is 8 pm at night. The kids all eat their "midnight snack" then and I want a little something too. A piece of fruit is usually the answer.
So basically, everything is going really well. I am feeling very good and very happy. I haven't been doing much exercise, but small steps, right?
