Day 900... a snowy day

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

We have blizzard conditions today. Cooper only wanted to walk about 1 mile this morning, but then I went back out without him and did about 7 more miles. Blowing snow and drifts can't stop me! Roads are bad and visibility gets bad on a regular basis. A good day to take as my rest day. Except I will probably have walked over 10 miles, which means it no longer meets my guideline for a rest day. Oops!

I think Cooper is feeling a little stir crazy with his short walks today. He is talking to me and occasionally barking (which he normally does NOT do). I am going to have to try and convince him to go for a longer walk after dinner, so he doesn't drive me batty later tonight.

With the weather so cold and windy I decided today was a good day to make a big pot of chili. I made it nice and spicy, just the way I like it. The pot should last at least until Saturday. I will probably be tired of chili by then.

You are such a trooper to go out in the snow!

No need to eat chili until you're sick of it if you freeze the second half in portioned sizes that are easy to microwave.

Wow - the weather has been crazy this winter! When I walked the pups today, it was mid-50's. Even Spartacus didn't need to ride inside my jacket any for the walk!

I've been hearing about the crazy snow you guys are getting. It's been rain here and I'm so grateful since it's been coming down hard and steady for hours.

Poor Cooper all cooped up.

emoticon emoticon 900 emoticon . emoticon The days are streaking by. Can't imagine what all you would have accomplished if the winter weather had been more favorable. Sometimes circumstances slow us down ( for our own good) but they can't stop us altogether emoticon

I am so ready for this winter to be over. We didn't get snow, but the temperature dropped about 40 degrees while I was at work and I didn't dress for it. The chili sounds nice.

Congrats on getting out there and plowing through the weather. I'm so proud of you. Good luck convincing Cooper to push through.
