and yet another snow day.....

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Today we had another snow day. Actually it is 5:45PM and it is STILL snowing. Not sure how much has been dumped on us but we were suppose to get 8 inches and it does look like a lot from inside that is for sure. Poor DH is out with the snowblower again (he had such hopes that he wouldn't need it anymore). The weird thing is today and tomorrow are suppose to be nasty but then Friday back to mid-40's. Spring break is in 2 weeks and I just hope that it is nice enough for me to do my annual garage clean-out by then.

And while I always enjoy a good snow day (no school, yeah!) I just couldn't get in my groove today. Went to the basement to get in my steps with ole Perry Mason but I just didn't feel like stepping. So I sat a while and watched but then I got cold (it is a basement afterall) so I brought Perry upstairs to watch while I sat with Max in front of the fire. Big mistake. Didn't get halfway thru a new episode before I fell asleep. A warm cuddly cat does that to me and I ended up sleeping for over 2 hours. Yikes. At least I had the slow cooker working today so dinner was ready when I awoke. New recipe - Mediterranean Chicken - which has prunes, capers, olives, wine vinegar in it. Much better than expected. I liked it, DD not so much, DH liked it too. Tonight we are off to the township board of review over our new assessment of taxes. Fun times.

That's great that you had dinner going while you napped. I hope the nap didn't interfere with your night's sleep. The Mediterranean Chicken sounds delicious. I wish you could get the weather to match it. emoticon
I hope spring comes by your spring break. emoticon emoticon

Property values go down and they still have a way to raise taxes. Yuck!
