Trying something new

So I've decided to try something new. My sister has previously had a lot of success by just cutting sugar and fast food from her diet, so I thought I should give it a try at least until the end of March.

No candy, cookies, cake, donuts, ice cream, pudding, mickey d's, or BK lounge.... until the end of the month and we will see how I feel. I really do not think this will be that hard for me at least the sugar part. I have always had a bit of struggle with fast food. But a lot of people have success starting this way so I can make it happen.

This morning was my last egg white delight from McDonald's for a while, but I bought all the stuff to make it myself!

All in all I think this will be a good starting point to keep me on the band wagon. I've still been making efforts to be more active. I'm trying to work it in as much as possible. For example I exclusively take the stairs at work. Three flights up and down every time I have to go up and down. I'm trying to make it to a couple of aerobics classes a week. So far this week I haven't made it, but I brought my clothes and tonight I plan to go after work and take a class.

Also I'm working on reaching for the healthy snacks. Today I brought grapes, cashews and an apple to work. They are on my desk and ready to go for when I feel the need to munch.

I have to say I think Spring time is so motivating. I am seeing the sun again, thinking about buying a new swim top, going tanning and feeling totally motivated to take care of myself. I love this and wish I felt it all the time. Maybe I can?

Thanks for the support! I am glad to know that you are seeing success with this. I keep thinking it is too simple to work. Like if I'm not spending all day counting something or reciting a mile long list of what I "can't" have then it won't work. But maybe just cutting these two groups is so simple that it will work! **fingers crossed**

    I did the same thing, all sugar and fast food out. It was really hard and I gave in like 3 times the first month but I'm slowly getting it. I still allow myself 1 cheat whenever I lose a certain amount but otherwise nothing. It will be worth it when you see the results, just don't beat yourself up if you have a slip up! emoticon
