Ok.... so I weighed in this morning and I am down 4.2 pounds...yes I know that the first week is usually water loss BUT I have cut out the junk food for a week, ate within my calorie range, did a little exercise (and I do mean a little) and the scale said "Hey you lost over 4 lbs" and for me that loss of weight CAN and DID give me the motivation to keep going for another week.
I feel different this time than with ALL the other times....I feel more motivated, I feel more determined, I feel happier within my self....(maybe it is the age thing lol)and for the first time I do feel like I can do this!
I am going to approach this journey differently than the other times. I am not going to look so far into the future at the big picture this time. Instead I will concentrate on the small victories. These victories will be STAYING away from the junk food (sugar) for now (maybe down the road I will be able to eat it in moderation...but with me this may never happen), get more active, be a happier person with myself (pep talks) and STAY motivated with this journey, one week at a time!
One week down.... a lifetime to go!!
