I am a carb junkie and I crave crunchy carbs!!
Last night I was craving potato chips but would not dare go to the supermarket because I knew I would buy 2 bags and eat them all!!!!
So I decided to search my sparkpeople recipe app for a healthy alternative! Jackpot!!!!!!!!
Microwave potato chips!!! This is the most incredible recipe you will ever make! And it has one ingredient - a potato!!!! Slice the potato very thin and then place single layer on some parchment paper! Sprinkle with salt and or seasoning if you want and Microwave....mine produces the perfect chip after 7 mins!
yes, I had my doubts as well but decided to try this because the craving was so bad!!! I was amazed with the result. I made more and shared with hubby, who can be a bit finicky, and he loved them too! They actually turn out as crispy as a potato chip!!! I was going to save some for work to let the girls here sample them but alas,,,they never got out the door!!! lol
So this recipe is my motivator for today!!! I will no longer have to deprive myself of crunchy carbiness!!! I can have a serving of this and not feel deprived and I can easily fit it into my calorie allotment any day I want!!!!
