Curves or not to Curves?

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Feeling pretty good this morning and set out to do some errands that had accumulated. I stuck my gym bag in the car thinking to at least do half a workout at Curves after MIA for a whole week. I ran all my errands and debated....

I had done my short Spring Bootcamp video earlier, and after finishing errands, the question was now what? Do I go to Curves or not? To be honest, no. I've missed my workouts there and also missed out on the re-opening after installation of brand new equipment. I haven't even seen the new equipment yet. However, my energy level said no, take it easy. So I stopped at a park and walked around a small lake. My inclination was to do the longer way, but decided to stick to the lakeside instead. I was glad I did. Being out in the sun felt very good as did my medium-slow paced walk.

Still not 100%, but much better. Back to work tomorrow.

Our body knows when we are ready to hit the gym but sometimes our brain takes over. Good luck getting back on track.

You did the smart thing, as you need to preserve your energy and get as much rest as you can, so you're able to get back into the swing of things! You mentioned the new equipment, your Curves owner must have gotten all of that with Jillian Michaels. Oh so many she kicks my behind, but it's oh so worth it!

Oh, I found a way to log in your Curves workout, if you have the smart card, so you can get more than the 180 calories burned. When you put your smart card in after your workout, it tells you how many calories you burned, so that when you log it in, with SparkPeople, instead of putting that you worked 30 minutes, increase that, and it will reflect the proper calorie burn! I pray that this helps you, as you go through your lifestyle change journey.

    Be blessed,
