Day 898... beautiful day!

Another day of blue skies and sunshine! But Winter returns on Wednesday... they are calling for 10 inches of the white stuff. Ugh. Oh well. I took advantage of this beautiful day and walked over 20 miles. 5 miles with Cooper this morning, 11 miles this afternoon after lunch, followed by another 3 miles with Cooper before dinner, and 1.5 miles with him after dinner. That doesn't add up to 20, but I also walked to the lab for more blood work, which puts me over 20 miles for the day. Woohoo!

My burned fingers aren't bad. The only blisters that stuck around are on my thumb and index finger. They don't really hurt, so I am not going to worry over them. The other hand aches a bit from using the rower the other day. I was going to use it for 30 minutes this evening, but I think I might give myself a break, and rest it another day and see what the doctor says tomorrow.

I need to eat more for breakfast I think. I usually just have a yogurt and a banana. I am never very hungry in the morning, but I think if I ate a larger breakfast then I wouldn't find myself so far under calorie at the end of the day. I have been trying to increase my protein too. Maybe it will work for me. Don't know until I try it out.

    emoticon I can't even imagine walking 20+ miles in one day! You go girl. When I used to go to the gym, I called the rowing machine - the death machine! lol. I used to row fine, but found it tiring & boring ... So I would sing old hymns until. I finished. Helped to pass the time. I remember it also helped to get into a rhythm with my legs & arms - push & pull! Sound familiar.

    Excellent report on the miles!!! To bump up your protein, try using Greek yogurt. And maybe a hard-boiled egg.

  emoticon btw, i think it would be great if you integrate some of your increased protein intake at breakfast. that would be a win-win: a bigger, healthy breakfast to fuel you, and the increased protein you desire. good luck.
