Baby has arrived, and I've had time to recover. Got over the several colds I've had since baby arrived as well, so now it's time to start working on getting back in shape!
To help in that endeavor, I have purchased the 12-week Fit Journal from Blogilates.com. I know Spark tracks all that stuff, but something about keeping it in a book seems really motivating to me right now. And I have to say, the book is super nice (but definitely not for men). It also comes with a meal plan that was designed by a dietician. It seems pretty good, but I don't think I'm going to use it right now, because it would take more time than I have at the moment to adapt it to how many calories I need (nursing, so need extra) and figure out how to make the recipes feed a family.
I'm also following through with running! I've purchased a nice pair of running shoes, and expect to go for my first "run" some time this week. I've also sort of got a goal in my head of running a 10k by the 2016 summer Olympics. I'm not ready to call it a real goal yet, because I don't have any idea right now if that's over- or under-optimistic. Stay tuned, I guess, until I see how it goes.
If I work hard, I can manage to get close to my goal weight by the end of the 12 weeks. Wish me luck... no, wish me willpower! Because this is going to happen through dedication and lots of hard work, not luck.
