How to lose Weight without exercising

1) Discover you have Gluten Intolerance including cross-reactors such as corn, dairy, etc; and are too tired and sickly to go grocery shopping which means eating only fruit, veggies, a bit of carbs, and protein.

2) While doing research on what you CAN eat, you discover you have a Leaky Gut, which means at least temporarily eliminating more foods.

3) Throw yourself into Emotional Turmoil (You really believed you were eating well? Why didn't you pick up on these symptoms sooner? What could you have done to prevent it? Will the food budget hold out?)

4) Go through painful 'die-off 'sessions as your body adjusts.

5) Wonder as you are looking at the food on your plate if it is going to cause you agony after eating it.

Hmmm did I miss anything?

    Hugs to you as you work through these challenges. I hope the food reactions are minimal in frequency and intensity. I developed IBS 2 years ago after continual reactions to different medications that I was prescribed for FMS, and I got to know how bad a flare up with that could be, so I sympathise with your situation. I hope things are starting to get better for you.

    I've recently started dealing with food allergies, and I know this is a blow. So here's the good already belong to a community where there are people with similar experiences who can give you practical advice on recipes, affording the food, what to look for in a good nutritionist/doctors, and will send virtual hugs when you need! emoticon emoticon emoticon Also it's almost Farmers Market season, so you'll be able to find inexpensive organics with just a little investigating emoticon emoticon emoticon and they can give you good practical tips on finding good quality food during the off-season. And within a few months you will feel better than you have in ages. And you will find a way to make the budget work. Maybe you give up something you don't really enjoy, or you start doing something to make money that you end up really enjoying.

    That is a lot to have on your plate (no pun intended.) You are doing great in figuring this all out; it helps to have the enouragement & advice from those going thru the same thing. I wish I could be more help! But, I will do what I can....which is to pray for you and send hugs. You are awesome, you know that? As you go thru this change & discovery in your life, you will realize that you're tougher than you thought & that you're a survivor. emoticon

    I have leaky gut & leaky brain. I'm working with a health coach (clinical nutritionist) and am on an anti-inflammatory nutrition program. I'm currently eating free of the following: gluten, grains, dairy, sugar, caffeine. People often say, "What CAN you eat?" I reply with Lots of organic Freggies, a little organic (when possible) protein, and a very little low glycemic index healthy carbs. My food is delicious and I'm definitely feeling a lot better. emoticon Hang in there ... your body will thank you!

    emoticon you are having to deal with this. My digestion has changed a lot since I'm so close to menopause & I think just aging also. I can hardly tolerate milk [it's hidden in a lot of foods, I found]. Ouch. Many vege.'s and most nuts. I just can't digest them & it does hurt. I can relate. I stick with those foods I know won't cause trouble. Keeping a list of them & adding or crossing off what does not work.
