*First let me preface this with reader beware this contains sensitive material
My 100 Minutes of Exercise for 100 Days Pledge is Paying off my stamina is increasing and for the first time in 6 months I was able to take a shower standing up. Now for most of you that does not sound like a big deal, but for me this was a major accomplishment. The last time I tried to take a shower standing up I had a seizure and collapsed, lay unable to move while water poured in my nose and mouth and I almost drowned in my own shower (I live alone) - my poor little dog Bella was frantically pawing at the door trying to get in and barking trying to alert anyone who might hear. Ever since then I have been having to take a shower with the aid of a shower chair because of heart problems, dizziness and MS seizures.
So today was a major accomplish you see. No blackouts, seizures, or any racing heart arrhythmia. Bella still stood outside the door barking and I had to continually reassure her I was ok, but we both made it thru without incident
This 100 Day Challenge was the best thing I have done for myself in a while, well besides losing the weight. It has made me realize that I can actually push myself to go a little harder even if I have to break it up into several smaller segments throughout the day, but sometimes I can go longer than I ever thought that I could at one time setting I even amaze myself - I never thought it was possible - you never know what you can do until you try-- you just have to go for it. So if I have one word for any of you out there that think you can't do something because your pain won't let you, or you are too tired, or you are too old for it, or whatever reason - just give it one try - if it doesn't work out then it didn't work out .... But if you don't try how will you ever know?
