Don't Forget

Saturday, March 08, 2014

This was just 1 of many pics floating around facebook today. As if I really needed a reminder every hour today telling me to change the clocks tonight.

Sorry, but I liked it when I was living in AZ, and never had to bother with the clocks because AZ, doesn't follow this silly tradition. But isn't it early this year? I always thought it was supposed to start in April. Almost like someone changed my calendar all around...first Fat Tuesday was late and now DST is early. Oh well, I will get back on track someday....probably right before we change the clocks again in the Fall.

I have been reading a few studies online that even claims it is bad for your health. Yup, there is a rise in heart attacks for a few days after we fiddle with the time. There are more auto accidents also. is to darn cold to be this close to Spring. Was 13 outside this morning. Right now I am in the mood for hot chocolate.
♥Edit♥ by the time I got downstairs, I changed my mind. I grabbed a cup of coffee and the blueberries I got at Market Basket....OMG, they are the juicest blueberries I have ever had.

I live in Indiana. In the past, we didn't change time, either. I liked it much better. emoticon

Most of my life DST started the last weekend in April. I remember one year during the Carter administration they started it in February to supposedly save energy, but school kids had to go to school in the dark so it was only one year. Supposedly this last change was because retailers liked the additional hour during shopping and restaurant time to make more money.

Ugh. Another thing we can "thank" Dubya for. They lengthened it in 2005.

I've always lived where they change time. But, I'm with you. We could live very well without the time change.

we split our time between AZ & OR but both time changes occur while we're in Arizona.

I'm with you ~ it's a silly practice and the rest of the country should stop doing it.

I think it's terrible for your health - and my health and everyone's health! It takes me at least three days to adjust my sleep schedule. I wish they'd trash the entire thing and just leave time be what it is.

We all know when the sun rises and sets, right?
