on the way back! come backs are what it is all about!

Friday, March 07, 2014

The quick flash in the pan is so frequent. New years resolutions you can see fizzle at the gyms by Jan 21st.

Come backs are what it is about if you are going to sustain and maintain anything. Why?
Because we all fall, get distracted, get knocked out and about by all kinds of events in life.
Hitting the Refresh button is not easy, but it is essential to achieving anything substantive.

My nephew in law died this month and in his last weeks I felt the need to be around and assist my niece. BIG DISTRACTION from my goals! Made mine seem petty. My niece's life is a discombobulated mess right now. I have a chance to get her on track and really be a finger in the dike for her life. She is impulsive with spending, clueless about money, unable to distinguish between wants and needs and absolute essentials, etc. Her husband wasn't much better, but was a restraining force with credit cards at least. She is on an unsustainable course with her house and spending, and in denial. Oh, she is a hoarder too! The place is a stye. I have some distance from the problems and know they are not mine to solve, but want to help her to make better choices. She is obese and underactive too! Maybe I could ultimately influence her there too?

For me I am back from being sick and committed to tracking food and exercise again.
A Comeback is in process one more time. and maybe for my niece over the next months?

This really is a wonderful blog. In a way, it's too bad that your niece can't read it and benefit from the insight. I enjoyed your writing style also. I liked the way you made the situation visible.

Standing with you, and holding you in the light, Joe. We're all on a journey to somewhere. Be blessed.
