I have two habits I want to focus on this weekÖand forever!

1. Exercising in the morning. My work schedule is becoming somewhat more flexible, so I am able to come in just a little bit later, guaranteeing time for a workout. Iíve experienced two major benefits of morning exercise: I feel jazzed. I mean, I feel so good! I know Iím an amazing person for doing such a great thing for myself when I workout. The second benefit: Itís done. Any other fitness for the day is bonus after getting the planned fitness done in the morning. So far, so good. I did a 30 minute Denise Austin workout this morning.

2. Eating less in the evening. I do a decent job planning and executing my food plan until I get home and put my feet up. I need to start tackling some issues Iíve ignored in the past, like limiting TV time and not eating in front of the TV. Thatís always been a comfortable habit Iíve been unwilling to break. Itís time for a serious heart to heart with self. Just how much do I want this? What am I willing to do?

I am willing to keep moving, even though the daily workouts make my body tired and sore. It's a good kind of sore that reminds me I'm ALIVE! I'm willing to think about food differently, especially in the evening. Food is not a pastime. It's fuel. I know this. emoticon

I PLAN to eat in the evening....I find that if I eat at 8-12-5 then I am starving ALL evening and looking for food!! Not fruit or veggies but FOOD!
If I PLAN well and make my meals at different times....I end up feeling full & happy and in my calorie range.
So I eat at 10....1 to 2....and 7pm. YUP I have my main meal at 7 PM....and finish eating by 8PM. I usually have some popcorn after my main meal ( I am not a dessert eater...prefer crunchy & salty )

After 8PM I only drink. Could be water/tea/flavored crystal light water/and diet...caffine free coke....If I keep drinking...I keep feeling full....
so MOST of the time emoticon ~~MOST of the time! Ido not look for more to eat.....

I do fall through the cracks off/on with this but mostly it is good for me.

    WTG, and yes, you are an amazing person for exercising in the morning! I've never been good at that, even now when i have the time. I was thinking of trying 'no computer time' till i get my workout in. I like to get up and check my emails, facebook, spark pages and often times I spend over an hour just sitting. I'm going to give it some more thought.

As far as the evening eating, I totally relate. When I'm totally on track, I'll enjoy a piece of delicious, juicy fruit of some kind, and of course keep my Tervis filled with water. I know some people have told me to try brushing my teeth after dinner. Might be worth a try. Best to you!
