Filling in the map.

Tuesday, March 04, 2014

I just finished registering for my next group of Half Marathons.

And here they are (including one I registered for earlier):

3/21 - Alamo 13.1 San Antonio TX
4/12 - Riverboat Series Day 1 Columbus KY
4/13 - Riverboat Series Day 2 Meeman State Forest TN
4/14 - Riverboat Series Day 3 Another State Park, AR
4/15 - Riverboat Series Day 4 Another State Park, MS
4/16 - Riverboat Series Day 5 Winnsboro, LA
5/4 - Frederick Running Festival, Frederick, MD
5/10 - Maryland Half Marathon, Fulton, MD
10/12 - Baltimore Running Festival Baltimore, MD

I can find where those unnamed parks are for Riverboat, I just forgot. Sure hope I don't get lost.

In May, I also plan to go to Vermont and New Jersey on 5/17 and 5/18. I haven't registered for Anchorage AK (6/21) yet, but that is rock solid.

What I may do for Anchorage is drive out to Boulder to visit David, Carolyn & Colin, then fly to AK and fly back to Boulder. Then be a pest for a week and run in the Boulder Half on 6/29.

The rest of the summer schedule is on my other computer and I can't find it right now because my other computer, she broke. Dead disk. But no worries. I am like Jesus. I save. Yep. I am all backed up.

Anyway. With just what I have already run, and already paid for, and have scheduled rock solid, I will get nine new states for sure (and if I go for VT and NJ in May that will be eleven new states). WV, FL, SC (Done), KY, TN, AR, MS, LA (registered), AK (rock solid), VT, NJ (wish list). MD, TX, and CO are repeats.

That map is filling in.

Done any races in Michigan? Here's one you might want to look at
wildlifemarathon.org for next year. This year's event will be Oct 12 and I am seriously thinking about trying it. It will be my first half ever.

April will be busy for you. I hope you have all the locations programmed into Mapsource and loaded onto your GPS. Then you can just punch a button when you are too tired to think.

Question. Is the one in Kentucky suppose to be Columbia, KY? I'm not familiar with Columbus, KY, so I was just curious. Keep running.

What an impressive schedule, Timothy! You are really doing it up great with a bow on top. There are some great canyon lands in Utah that will get your heart racing in case you want to try something a little different.
