Daily checklist + A change in my weigh-in routine

Tracked my meals. [ x ] (Current streak: 21 days)
Stayed within my calories (6 days a week). [ x ] (Current streak: 21 days)
Didn't binge. [ x ] (Current streak: 24 days)
Went for a walk (6 days a week). [ x ] (Current streak: 22 days)
Took the stairs instead of the elevator. [ x ] (Current streak: 21 days)

They always say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and I'm starting to agree on that! These things on my list are starting to come pretty naturally now. I still have to stay focused every single day though - I don't want to break my streaks!

Today I was thinking about my goals for March (I'll blog about them tomorrow) and I decided to not weigh myself for an ENTIRE MONTH. I weighed myself on Saturday and I will weigh myself again on April 1st. This is for a few reasons:

1) I don't want to get obsessed with the number on the scale (I weighed myself every morning last month).

2) I want to pay more attention to other changes in my health/body/mood instead of only focusing on a number.

3) Since I've chosen to lose weight slowly, it'll be more fun to see a big loss when I weigh myself after a full month of hard work!

It'll be a challenge but I'm excited! I can't wait to see what the number will be a month from now. I'm aiming to lose at least 3 kg (about 6.5 pounds) this month but I'd be more than happy to lose more! We'll see. I'm really motivated to work hard every day to reach that goal.

    Good job on the streaks, you are definitely in "making new habits" area now! Not weighing for the entire month, I know that works well for some people, I certainly hope that on April 1st you are pleasantly surprised by the number on the scale!

    Yeah, it does take some time, repetition, and consistency to create a lifestyle! Though I find that there are some things I've been doing for awhile that I still have to be conscious of what I'm doing or I back slide.

Looking forward to hearing about your big loss in April *grin* though I think you have the right idea--focus more on healthy choices and other ways of measuring success than the scale.
