Looking Forward to DayLight Savings

Monday, March 03, 2014

I prefer longer daylight and welcome this coming weekend's time change. Now, if they'd only leave it alone and not change the time anymore as they do in some states.

Wishing all a happy day.

The cats and I have trouble adjusting either way. As a Floridian, I agree with SHERYLP461. emoticon

We'll have to agree to disagree emoticon

DST here means that it is light until midnight. I'd prefer more balance - more morning light.

Actually I could probably get used to either - but I hate the biannual changes!

Hate it, hate it, hate it! It does no good, and now my natural wake-up at 7 to 7:30 will happen at 8 to 8:30. I'll have to either set an alarm or be late to work.

i hate setting the clock ahead. it feels like a loss of an hour and my body clock is always mad at me for a while. on the bright side it means spring is closer.

I don't like having to lose an hour of sleep, and it's kind of a pain to have to change my clocks, and things with clocks on them, such as the microwave and the VCR. It always takes my body a week or two to adjust every time the time changes.

I have been noticing that where I live, it's staying light out longer, and I like that.

It always takes me three days to adjust. Now if only the cold and snow would go away once we have "more" daylight!

I don't like the change and wish they'd just leave us on Standard time. When the sun is straight overhead, it's noon. Simple as that.

I do wish they would just stick with a single time.

I get excited about DST starting, too. Maybe it's the promise of spring, the promise of sun and warmth. Oh, to get outside and go for long walks in nature! emoticon

Energy conservation so they said many years ago. However it doesn't reduce the energy bill one bit. The energy companies know they have a monopoly and raise the costs no matter what happens. Little vent, sorry!

I don't like missing an hour of sleep during Spring forward.

I am not a daylight savings advocate. Living in Florida standard time is just fine thank you for us. Nature knows a lot more than man does and when it is time to shut down it does. We should do the same.
