Old Man Winter

Monday, March 03, 2014

Old man Winter shakes his cold fist,
Trying to hold us in his grip.
But as surely as the warm sun shines,
He slowly slinks away-
One drip at a time.

Poem by Jackie Stetser

    Neat poem!

I wish we could get enough sun and warmth to start that drip process! Another subzero morning coming...

Will this winter ever end? Below zero in March! At least the days are getting longer!
LOVE the poem!

It's hard to see the beauty in winter when it prevents life from going on normally. But there IS beauty if you look. I guess.

Winter doesn't want to leave Illinois this year - his grip is way too tight.
