My Backyard Visitor

Sunday, March 02, 2014

I couldn't figure out why there were no birds at the feeder in my back yard all day yesterday ... and then I looked up a little further into the tree the feeder hangs in ...

Guess that explains it.
He's moved on today but I suspect he hasn't gone too far. Visitors to the feeder were still few an far between today unlike mot days when there is normally a constant frenzy.
All God's creatures are beautiful. Thought you might enjoy seeing this one.

I'd lever seen a wild one either Seawave ... and almost didn't see that one. He was so still and blended in so well with the colours of the tree. I suspect he was probably there all day and I didn't even notice him until I went to see if I could figure out why I hadn't seen any birds around all day.
I haven't seen him since but I'm sure he's still around the neighbourhood somewhere. I occasionally hear him calling when we leave for work in the morning.

Beautiful! With all the animals I've seen in the wild, I've never seen an owl -- go figure!

What a handsome owl, Yes a big bird of prey around would scare off most of the little guys. The squirrels too probably.
