Garry's birthday was Friday and we feasted on, what else, pizza! I made 3 different pizzas, and I've learned that it's so worth it to drag out the baking stone and wooden peel to make a great homemade pizza. Here they are, the vegan beauties:
and here's Garry's cake---peanut butter blondies with a thick layer of chocolate ganache and sprinkles. Yum!
And now here's a barrage of photos of our newest family member. We adopted a rescue dog, a lovely mutt supposedly a pointer hound/beagle mix but to us he's a prince. We fell in love with him by accident, just happened upon one of those adoption fairs outside a pet store. we were just there to get some kitty litter and there he was. ~sigh~ A nerve-wracking experience with the rescue organization, so many questions it was like the Inquisition, but we passed all the tests. In the past we'd always adopted puppies or dogs less than a year old; this guy is 4 years old. He came to us with the name 'Patches', but we're going to change it as his personality emerges. We're leaning toward "Jack".
Those pizzas were so good! They were cooked on a pizza stone which made the crust perfect. And the blondie....oh my...it was too good. It was hard to control myself. (Notice the t shirt in that pic. It was a birthday present from my love!) And Jack is fitting right in. Now there is even more love in the house. Great birthday Eydie! THANKS! 849 days ago
Oh he is sweet, he looks like a patches obviously but love his markings on his face. A real doll. How is the cat taking this, we figure no way we could bring a kitten in with allie at 1.5 but we don't want one I just sometimes think it LOL Hugs and girl you are looking great and happy birthday to Garry! 851 days ago
