March Madness Challenge - Per Bobcatgirl76's Feb 28th Blog

Sunday, March 02, 2014

I'm going to try out calorie cycling to see if I can help with my fitness. I am comfortable with what the scales say right now, but I would like to see them move a little more. I have only lost 5 lbs since the beginning of the year, but I have lost inches and built some muscle too. I usually work out 5 to 7 times a week and rest on Sundays. You guys have to go read her blog if you're interested. There is a bunch of really useful information.

I have been wondering if I am consuming enough calories daily to compensate for the amount of calories I burn. I have been trying to stay within the limits that spark people have set for me, but find myself binging on my intense work out days. I have decided that maybe calorie cycling will help with this. So, I'm going to follow the plan listed here.

Monday 1727
Tuesday 1328
Wednesday 2072
Thursday 1727
Friday 1554
Saturday 1900
Sunday 1727

I can deal with these numbers. It's cool how the high calorie days fall on my usual intense work out days, so that's pretty awesome. I'll give it a try this month and see how it goes. I started yesterday and ended my day at 1862 calories and felt pretty satisfied. I didn't want to run into the kitchen at midnight and devour the jar of peanut butter... so that's good. LOL

Interested to see how it goes! I have been thinking about trying calorie cycling because I feel like I am getting in a food rut!

Spark has to play it safe according to the standards set by people who have to play it safe. I do not follow Spark nor who they follow. Nor do I track here.

On my raw program I consume at least 2000 calories per day. Yes I house clean at least 6 hours a day and exercise on top of that. Eating raw is a different world altogether.

If you are eating cooked and processed items with dairy and meat I'd say 1900 calories would be a good bet. But, if you need more EAT MORE.
