To start, for anyone that read and commented on my blog “My near death experience”, I thank you all. I did post a comment in response to all your comments on the blog as it was taking a lot of energy even to type so in an effort to conserve energy I just did the one post.
After 3 ½ weeks in the hospital I finally got to come home today. It will be a long road to recovery even though I am home but sleeping in my own bed will be so great. I didn’t sleep well last night (awake about every hour) but I think it was because I was so excited about coming home. I do have 4 different therapy packets to do but that shouldn’t be hard as I was getting 1.5 hours of occupational therapy and 1.5 hours of physical therapy each day for the last week so the 4 packets should be fairly easy to do every day. I did end up coming home with oxygen but only 2 liters with activity. As of Wednesday at the hospital I was still on continuous oxygen so feel that the little oxygen with activity is a lot better than what it could have been. I am also using a walker for energy conservation (as the therapist called it). For the next 4 weeks I will be doing therapy packets and resting until I go to the doctor for my checkup and see where we go from there.
