Okay I have yet to update my weight on here. I struggled for quite a while the last year. I tore the MCL in my left knee during treatment found out I had torn both ACLs as a child and they were never repaired. This explains much about my knees. Then I began having extensive trouble with my hands. Thought it was RA but now they think it is fibromyalgia. So after this diagnosis I tried two meds to help with the pain to no avail. Rather all they did is cause me to gain even more weight. So I did what I always do and started researching. Turns out eliminating aspartame seemed to be one of the common recommendations. Within two weeks of doing this I was virtuously pain free. Another suggestion was to go gluten free this was a tougher one to tackle. Then one day while on Facebook I saw an ad for the keto/paleo diet. I was intrigued and there was an app for my iPad. I have always had success with low carb bit through reading the plan info found some key things that are really helping me this time. Honestly I have never found it this easy to stay on plan. Temptation is not getting to me. In fact resisting has not been a problem. My kids have even joined in and been enjoying all the fresh veggies mixed in with the meat.
The weight has been coming off slowly bit at jut over 4 weeks on plan I am closing in on 15 pounds off. My daughter who is 17 did not weigh herself (I did not want her too) has noticed her jeans fitting nicer. Her friends are jealous of the lunches she brings to school. My son 13 is eating healthier then he ever has and seems to be doing better. Getting him away from all the processed food is really making a difference for him ( he has aspbergers and add)
Wow this ended up longer than I intended so I will end now.
