Ear is still giving me trouble--cont.

Friday, February 28, 2014

I did the pool this morning --just to finish up 1000 fitness minutes this month. I was in bed all yesterday due to this ear problem.

I don't think it is an infection but it sure feels stuffy and plugged up. Today I will put moist, warm compresses on it to see if that helps. Vicks in my nose for 2 days (imitating the Eucalyptus in the steam room) seems to be opening things up somewhat.

So I am back home and I can baby myself again.

    Old wives' and doctors' trick.
Pull down on your earlobe.
If it hurts inside you've got an infection.
If it doesn't hurt you've entertained whoever is around you.

emoticon Dr used to tell me to put a very tiny amount of alcohol in my son's ear after swimming to help keep from developing swimmer's ear as he was prone to that.

Chris, I'm sorry you have an ear ache. Don't let it go on very long before seeing a dr - I'd hate for you to lose any hearing.

Is it safe to swim if you have an ear infection?

You also might get a little relief from the blow drier on a low speed....just putting it out there.

Feel better!
