Yesterday I went to the gym for spin class. Now I don't love spinning, but it's a good workout and I since skipped Monday's step class, I really wanted some tough cardio. However, the microphone wasn't working -- not the first time this has happened -- and it's frustrating to not really be able to hear the instructor. I like cues. So at the half-hour mark, I left class. (Ever the good gym-goer, I wiped my bike down first.)

Wanting more cardio, I decided to use the treadmill. I almost NEVER use the equipment at the gym -- classes are my thing. While I also don't love to run, I must admit it was fun to do something different. I alternated between walking (3.5-4 mph) and running (6 mph) for 20 minutes.

    6 mph? I've been runnin for over a year now and I can only dream of 6 mph...you my friend, have some talent...
