It's been nearly a year since my last post and activity here with Spark. A lot has changed in that year - most significantly.... I'm a MOM! My beautiful son was born on January 12th and I am more in love than I could ever have imagined being. I'm currently on maternity leave until March 31st. I had my 6 week post postpartum checkup yesterday and got the all clear to resume physical activity. THANK GOD. Because I also did the "let's try on all our pre-pregnancy clothes" thing yesterday and it did NOT go well. I was ONE FOR SIX on pants fitting. 1 for 6! UGH! I gained 27lbs during my pregnancy (baby boy was 8.2) and have lost all but 4 of them but for some reason I'm still enormous.
I know, I know. I made a person. My body is bound to take some time to get back to "normal" but darn - it's still tough to go from cute and pregnant to dumpy and frumpy. BUT - that's why I'm back here. Time to rekindle what little enthusiasm I had for fitness and (hopefully) surpass it!
I'm currently at 235 and I set my goal at 175. I gave myself a year to lose it all - hopefully soon I can set some smaller goals and kick myself into gear.
