Partly Cloudy With Scattered Worries

Thursday, February 27, 2014

I have mentioned this book a couple of times to other Spark Friends so thought I would add a link and description of it:

Regardless of the storms of trials, temptations, worry, uncertainty, or regrets that you're facing, you can trust God. Let this book increase your faith and trust in God, and you'll experience the peace you desire.

I got this as a FREE Kindle download a couple of months ago and read a chapter a night. Bringing my husband home from the nursing home and becoming his full time caregiver meant I had a LOT of new worries, and I was delighted when Kindle Buffet (more about them in a minute) had this as one of the daily freebies.

Note that right now it's 99 cents and the price is going up in a few days. I would still highly recommend it! If you have Amazon Prime, then it is also available as your free download for the month.

Now, Kindle Buffet. Kindle Buffet is a website that has several different free Kindle books each day, along with book reviews by the site owner. They send me a daily e-mail to list the top freebie of the day along with several others, and a free app of the day. The only problem I have, is that I have at least 100 books that I've downloaded and not read yet. I am cutting back a bit now, but at first was downloading a LOT of them.

I definitely have more cake, cookie, pie recipe books downloaded than I will ever use LOL!

So, if you have a Kindle and want freebies, here's a link to them too.

A lot of times the free book of the day will be the first work of a well known author, as a way to give you a sample of their work, in hopes you will buy more.

Free is free as long as it's something that actually holds my interest.

Enjoy!

Kindle Buffet? Wow! Now, I, too, have over 100 books in my Kindle. But I was of the impression that if our Kindle seems crowded, we can move some of our books back up in the "cloud". They won't be lost, so I understand. It's as though we took them back to the library for the time being, but when we want to read them, there they are for us to download back into the Kindle. Or so I understand...

Thanks for the information. This is helpful to know.
This is awesome that the books are free for those of us who like to read.

That "worry" book sounds like exactly what I need! I went to the link and right now, it's only 99; so I bought a Kindle copy.

Thank you!
