The first 2 weeks after my vacation, I was recovering from negative effects of my trip - long flights, the held-back-till-back-home exhaustion, the reality that my vacation just ended, resetting my inner clock to my area's time zone.
I didn't go back doing exercises as I focus on to get full rest. I felt like I needed thousand years of hibernate in dark cave!
However, maybe it was fate's intervention mixed with my lack of discipline that I kept pushing back time to dive into bed at night - always after 11 pm and my worst nights were AFTER 1 am, which already on next day! I love to blame technologies (game apps, Internet, TV, bright lights in my bedroom) and demands for me to do things (I'm so weak to say no, uhuh), haha.
So, it was no surprise that at work, it was getting harder and harder to give my full 100%. Plus, I didn't get much time to ease back into my work, more like I jumped straight into the deep, high-concentrated work flow, made me felt I'm always drowning but somehow survive by the end of the day. AND I had my crucial work interview on the second day after I came back to work, still surprise I'm still breathing after the interview!
On Thursday of 2nd week, I finally reached into my maximum level of exhaustion (it was at work) that I gave in and got naptime. Woke up and felt much, much better compare to last several days - still a bit sleepy but no risk of falling asleep behind wheel or got into terrible incident because too sleepy equals to slower reaction! Nap is like magic cure, haha.
To sum up my two weeks, 10th to 23rd February 2014:
Terrible sleep quality! Didn't help that I kept falling asleep in the living room, on hard, cold tiled floor before I woke up and move my sleeping location to bedroom.
No exercise except outdoor team building activities on 13th February, it was my department's away day. I read somewhere that when you feel so tired, it's better to skip exercise and concentrate on getting rest first.
Fix my bloated, unease stomach issue. I tried several things such as cutting down possible food/drink that may cause excessive gas (burp or fart - can't say fart without laughter LOL), remedies like warm lemon drink first thing in the morning (I think this help to ease my troubled stomach), chew my food slowly rather than just swallow after once, twice munching.
