Writing a blog for the third and final day of the challenge!
Nothing weight-related though. I'm doing well with exercise; I've been averaging 18,000 steps per day and keeping up with my classes. I've been sloppy with my nutrition and I've been up and down the same 5 pounds all of February. I hope I can get some traction in March!
We are planning our trips for the year.
In March we will take our travel trailer for Tennessee for a week. We are going to do a "trail run" half marathon in one of the state parks. It's a half marathon AND a 50K so there are bound to be mostly ultra athletes there. We'll probably wear hiking shoes and take our poles and HIKE rather than run or do intervals. I'm a sloppy runner on asphalt and can't imagine jogging on dirt and rocks!
In May we will start in Michigan for 2+ weeks visiting family. We will do a half marathon with my two brothers and two weeks later do a 10K with my sister. I've inspired ALL of them to lose weight and get in shape! We'll see how they're doing. TC and I may end up doing the half marathon by ourselves. Ha!
After that we are going to head out west. We will start near Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, then proceed to Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma, then home. We think we'll be gone about 3 months. Of course we'll be hiking in all of the national parks! There's a TON of them out there.
The last big trip will be in October-November. We are going to hike in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains in Nepal! It's a 17-day trip that includes trekking for 6 days and 5 nights on the "Annapurna circuit" which is view of 3 of the largest mountains in the world. We'll be going from mountain lodge to mountain lodge, which sounds WAY better than sleeping in tents like we did in Peru.
Then we'll fly over to Delhi, India and will spend 4 days on our own before joining another tour exploring the "golden Triangle" of India -- Agra, Jaipur, and Delhi. All told we'll be gone 30 days.
So I have lots and lots of reasons to get and keep the weight off!
