No More Drains...or other instruments of torture!

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

I'm two weeks post op and I got my last drain out today! Hooray!!!!

This last drain was really hurting the whole two weeks while it was in there. It can sometimes hurt when the drain get pulled out, but I didn't even feel it as the nurse was taking it out. The first time I realized she had even done it was when I glanced over and saw her putting it in the trash can. (I had been talking to the doctor as the nurse did it...and was distracted by the conversation.) Sweet!

All the bandages came off today too for the first felt so good to have everything off.....aaaah. I felt like I could stand up straight and take in a deep breath at last.

No more 24 hours a day wearing the torture garment (euphemistically known as a surgical compression bra) either.

What a WONDERFUL relief to be drain and strait jacket free! I remember when I had my tummy tuck..the same thing...WHAT WAS I THINKING?

I'd give anything to have that little pouchy stomach back with a beautiful voice before the anesthesia did a number on it.

Women don't always think things through...plastic surgery is just as dangerous as ANY surgery.

Thank goodness you are one step closer to the finish line! emoticon emoticon

Awesome for you! My brother's had his fair share of drains and it was a huge relief for him, too. Said he couldn't believe how far in those tubes went until they started coming out. Great for you. Have a marvelous day.
