I felt really overwhelmed yesterday after the discussion my OA sponsor and I had about behaviors and food abstinence. Then I talked to my NA sponsor about my some stuff and I really felt overwhelmed. I didn't want to do this anymore. It seemed to hard. It seemed forever. But, I'm trying to just do today. 3 meals and 2 snacks. Just for today.

    you can do it. Moment by moment if you have to. Learning to forgive yoourself is important to. I use another daily devotional if you will that I find helpful. I'll get back to you with the name and the author. I used it almost dailey for a year and found it to be very helpful. Doubts invade our minds too much, I know from my own expereinces. You hand in there

    You can do this! Hang in there. It takes patience.

The best thing to do while you are going through it, is not to think so much of the pain caused by food abstinence.

The pain will pass.

    For me, personally, when faced with that overwhelming feeling that it would be impossible for me to loose weight, I had to stop thinking and obsessing over it, and just do it! This mindset worked best for me because it shifted the value of food off my top priority list. Wishing you the best on your journey! emoticon emoticon
