Some people have particular foods they eat before working out. For example, my hubby loves to eat sweet potatoes the evening before a morning race and needs a banana the morning of...
I just know I can't skip breakfast and that I need my protein to start the day. It may come in the form of yogurt with almonds and raisins mixed in or a couple of fried eggs, and I always eat those with a piece of fruit.
I've tried to stay away from breakfast cereals because they usually contain too much sugar and not enough protein and fiber for me.
Also, I tend to work out 1-3 hours after eating whether it's in the morning or evening.
