Today I am having an awesome day. One of the teachers who I don't see very often was in the lunchroom while I was there putting on my hikers for the trek home today. And he remarked on how thin I am. Thin! He used the word thin. Asked me if it was from all the walking I do and I said "yes, and the lifestyle changes I've made." Then I told him about my new way of eating (very little meat, mostly veggies and fresh fruit). He told me that was awesome (!) and to have a great walk today. And I did. That little talk just before I left really put some pep into my step. I got further today than I ever have and it makes me more determined than ever to walk more.
I also stopped to check out that little waterfall again. And it truly is a waterfall. The upper water is about 1 to 1-1/2 feet higher than the stream that it falls into. Once the snow melts I will definately be getting closer to it and really checking it out better.
So anyway when I got home from school I started my little veggie concoction baking and then went back out to walk more. I was hoping to see how my little stream was coming - still frozen solid. We are expecting more frigid weather this week. Hopefully the last of it for this winter. And then - oh please God - spring. There is so much snow piled up everywhere it will definately take a long, long time for it to melt and be completely gone. A few nice hot days will really help.
And Max is doing much, much better. He is sleeping in one of his usual spots today, not under anything. He perks up when I walk by so I know he is just resting. Today really is a great day.
