Mindful Monday

Monday, February 24, 2014

Okay, we can do this. This will be a very busy week for me, so there's no better time for me to get focused.

Yesterday, my brother in law stopped by on his new-to-him 2005 Suzuki 650 V-Strom. He's 70 years old and finally figuring out that his life is passing by and his wife will never do anything but watch tv and play electronic games.

DH & I really needed some highway therapy, so we asked if he'd like to join us for a ride to the coast. Well, he jumped on that!

I don't believe I have EVER seen him smile like that!!!

It was a good reminder to me to make the most of each day, each moment. And a great opportunity for me to re-evaluate my goals. The dates on the calendar will continue to pass . . . I don't want to wake up one day to find that I am 70 (or 84 as my mom will be in a few weeks) and not be who and where I want to be because of choices I have or have not made.

You won't for sure! As I won't be drooling over my baby food, being feed by a care giver, in a home for the infirmed, wearing diapers and playing canasta! FTBS!!!

Tell your BIL that he made the right decision which may be life altering for him. He's also quite cute!
