Downton Abbey Season and Finale

Monday, February 24, 2014

This is the only TV I watch once a week, and I've found this season to be lackluster, disjointed and disappointing. Overall, the finale lacked energy and I realized that I've completely lost interest in the plot for next season. It's a fun show in that it's a period piece with great settings. But I guess that just about wraps it up for me.

An update on Prince Harry (my cat) and his eyeballs. He's making progress from last week, but since he has HFV, I'm not sure whether it's real progress or just buying time. Time will tell.

Wishing all a happy day.

I'm glad Prince Harry is doing better!

I agree about Downton Abbey. First off, I will watch ANY period piece whether or not it has a pulse. But they really dropped the ball this season. It was downright boring. I think they missed a serious opportunity when Lord Grantham went to America - that would have been fun to see. The whole Daisy/Albert thing could have been far more exciting. Edith was the most interesting one this season, to be honest. Mary...seriously. Let's see some heat there! All of these men and no heat! The episode with Anna really shook me up but then went nowhere. There were opportunities, but they never quite took off.

I hope they get it together!

I found it exciting of course I am a new fan. I would run to the tv to see it. I will miss seeing it. I did not see seasons 1-3. But I found it to be good. It is clean and no crap is on it. Not much on tv otherwise. that is why I started watching. Now it is gone . emoticon

Glad Harry is feeling better, even if it is just buying time... it is better quality time.
The nice thing about losing interest is it helps us explore and move on to new options.
Enjoy!

Glad your Harry is better! As for Downton Abbey - I'm waiting to see what hits the fan when the new baby comes home next season. There was a lot of HEA on this season's show - never as satisfying as a cliff hanger!!

glad prince harry is doing better don't give up on the show entirely yet. I find when I am sad or upset my favorite shows are only mediocre but if I am in a better mood and watch the same repeat I find it entertaining

How disappointing!! I had heard really good things about the show and wanted to see the beginning of it. It seems like so many show follow this same pattern. They start out great and then veer off.

I sure hope that Prince Harry is really in recovery.

I don't watch much tv, and I don't even know of that show, so I cant comment.

I am so glad that your cats eyes seem to be better though, that is wonderful news!

I stopped watching those kind of shows because it the life style of so few On T.V.Ontario there is a show about the real life of about real everyday and rich people They cover a topic each week from running water to the first toilets you mane it they cover it So different because a true view not romanticized As a average person so lucky to be living now I will Pray the cat will live as long as he can

Glad to hear Prince Harry is improving.
Sometimes shows carry on long after they should. I was taught to always leave the audience wanting more.

I find that since I have changed, what use to be interesting to me is now not so much. Perhaps you have changed also.

Glad your sweetie has such a great caretaker as you. I've known a couple of cats with HIV and they've lived very long and happy lives.
