As part of my healthy living plan, I have been limiting my intake of red meat. As simple as the sounds, for me it is a bit of a challenge. First I really like beef, and I have a severe allergy which limits me from eating several of the options normally used to replace meat based meals.
One way I am limiting beef in my diet is to replace two meals a week with fresh fish. So today is my fish market day; I drive an hour and fifteen minutes each way in order to get fresh fish and I love it! I love the beautiful ride up in to Massachusetts and I love the market which gets fresh fish deliveries everyday except Wednesday and Sunday. I enjoy eating the meals made with the fish I purchase knowing it is preservative free, fresh and sustainable. It makes me feel good about my food and what I am putting into my body. This week I think it will be Salmon and Northern Atlantic Scrod. YUM!
