So, after my first week on this Biggest Loser Challenge I'm satisfied with my results so far.
The goals I have for myself are:
1) Burn at least 1500 calories a week at the gym. That will be 15,000 calories at the end of the challenge! Which should be at least 4 pounds.
Well this past week I did four workouts which burned 420, 435, 450 and 502 calories. That totals 1807. So I met that goal!
2) Track all my food at least 5 days out of the week.
I only did this once, and I'm disappointed with myself. This isn't to say I didn't stay in my calorie ranges. I did do that 5 days. But I just never enter in my dinner hardly ever. However, I make myself aware of how many calories I'm consuming when I eat so It definitely helps. But I'm going to make a more concentrated effort to take time after dinner to enter in my food.
3) Get at least 6,000 steps a day. My Spark Activity Tracker makes this a super easy goal. I already got my 6.000 in today so I'm on a one day streak so far!
While I didn't get the 6,000 steps in yesterday, I went above and beyond on four of those days, so my average steps per day equaled 6,932. I'm going to work really hard to get in my steps next weekend instead of being lazy. I did it on Saturday, but yesterday I was just tired.
4) I would be happy losing 1 pound per week or 10 pounds during the challenge. I started at 188.2 so if I can get back to 178.2 by the end of the challenge that would be great. Hitting an all new low of 173 would be even more amazing, so 15 pounds would be the ultimate goal.
I went from 188.2 to 186.2 so I lost 2 pounds! So I'm thrilled with that! Hoping to stay on track and that if I manage to actually track ALL my food this week, keep on this two pound loss schedule.
Finally, I'm hoping to continue exercising at least 4x per week. I really am starting to get into a groove with running and enjoying doing intervals on the treadmill. Plus my Heart Rate Monitor almost makes it a game to see how many calories I can burn in the shortest amount of time.
