Galloway Group: Thank You

These past few weeks I've been feeling stronger on my my runs. I've also been reflecting back over this past year of running. For the record at the end of February last year I ran 4.48 miles at a 14:43 pace. That was about as good as it got. Yesterday I ran 11 miles at a 12:46 pace and will aim for 15.5 miles next Saturday at about the same pace.
Over the past year I really appreciated the support of 3 people in particular: LIVE2RUN4LIFE, SEABREEZE64 AND IFDEEVARUNS2 all in the Galloway group on SparkPerople. They helped me feel like I could improve, there was hope for better running again and offered many suggestions for improvement.
I can't keep up with their daily dialog, but i truly do appreciate all of their help and friendship over this past year.

    Yay for the Galloway method! I love it to! I like the mental control it gives you instead of oh my goodness I can't run another step, I must walk for who knows how long! Way to go!

    Congrats! It is so nice when you see improvement! And for me.. I like the Galloway method because the running/walking is enjoyable. Before, I would feel like I would have to gut out 5 miles...now with a combo of the two, it seems so much easier. And in the end, I am not going to win any races but I sure am winning the battle for better health. Keep at it!

    The galloway group is very supportive and quick with advice. I wear Zensah running sleeves due to them on runs greater than 10 miles. Ifdeevaruns must have been within spitting distance in the Chevron Houston Marathon. Trillium is great about sending out the upcoming racing list via email. And they're all great at bugging you to write a racing blog, sheesh! I think they are the most active of the groups.
