Very bitter cold again today.. It took me five minutes to walk thirty feet to my mailbox,, everything is icy.. then plodding in ice-covered snow over my knees to refill suet cake on birdhouse again,,,DD just refilled it two days ago..

Visited mom yesterday,, filled a big trash bag with things just from tow little drawers in the upstairs bathroom.. then took a big box of lotions, cream, setc to her assisted living place for use there..

Dd cleared space in one bedroom for sleeping there occasionally.. filled another box full of stuff for garage sale just from one dresser top!
One step short of a hoarder..
We are so happy that we already cleaned and hauled out fifty or so flex trash bags full of junk two years ago that was circa1955. Junk, NOT antiques, unfortunately...

I often wonder how the birds keep warm in such cold weather. Feather's or not, there's no way I'd last one night outside in freezing temps! That's great that you're making progress on your cleaning project at your mom's. Sounds like a big undertaking. Good luck!

I know what you mean. It seems that all of a sudden all the "stuff" is there. I'm really proud of you and your family for cleaning so much out. That's a huge accomplishment.

Slow but sure...it will all get done. Not fun, I know.

One bag at a time. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Wow you are really racking up fitness minutes with all that snowshoeing (icewalking) and uncluttering!

Clutter really can take over our lives. My Mom was a saver, of every glass jelly jar or mayonaisse jar that ever entered the house because "someday" she was going to make jelly and can pickles. Someday never came and when she passed away boxes and boxes of them had to be hauled out for garbage pickup.

I hope I don't get that way as I age. I'd rather save memories :)

Not an uncommon problem with families today. Keep trying to do some each day and as you can see, you are making progress. Best wishes to you!
